November 25, 2018
As 2018 comes to a close, we at Proactive Living Facility want to reflect on the year behind us, as well as focus on the great work ahead of us. Our organization started just 8 short months ago because we firmly believe and are passionate in ensuring that the developmentally disabled population of adults ranging in age from 18 to 45 are not lost in a society that is lacking housing options and services that provide those needs. During the past decade, the prevalence of autism has increased to 1 in every 68 children - 1 in 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls (Centers for Disease Control).
With this increase in prevalence has come an increased demand for effective services for adolescents and adults with autism and for accurate information on what constitutes appropriate evidence-based intervention and practice. Unfortunately, the need continues to far exceed the available resources leaving a generation of people with autism and their families in a programmatic, financial, and personal limbo and society-at-large economically diminished. Parents find no placements for their adult children, leading to personal hardship and devastation as their child’s needs begin to outweigh that which they are able to provide.
Because of these factors, Proactive Living Facility was created. Our goal is to build, initially, 4 4-bedroom facilities in Ronan, Montana, and expanding throughout the state as funding allows. Through the following generous donations, we have reached the halfway point in our goal of building our first 4-bedroom facility in Ronan, Montana. Proactive Living Facility, in 2018:
· Received an anonymous $150,000 donation from an anonymous donor through the Montana Community Foundation.
· Purchased 11.53 Acres in Ronan, Montana, thus completing Phase I of our goal.
· Received a $25,000 grant from the Gianforte Family Foundation.
· Raised an additional $72,700 from generous donors like yourself.
· Received in-kind donations totaling in excess of $10,000. These include an architect’s design of our building, accounting services, legal services, and much more.
We are still short of our goal, however. You can help keep our vision alive. We believe in the power of humans coming together for the common good. No gift is too small or too big to allow parents across our country to have a place for their child with autism to live and flourish after they are no longer able to care for them. They deserve to know that when they are gone, their child will be taken care of. If you are able, we would love it if you could give to help us achieve this mission. We are a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization so all donations are tax-deductible.

www.Proactivelivingfacility.org , a Non-Profit Corporation just purchased 11.53 Acres in Ronan, MT for a new home for Adults with Autism. The location is NHN Main Street SW, Ronan, MT and is due west of St. Luke Community Healthcare. Attached are pictures. We would like to thank the Seventh Day Adventist Church Community for working with us as our board of directors did our due diligence on the property located in Ronan. With all the state and federal regulations governing assisted living centers it was determined that building on a new site was more advantageous for our clients.
Phase 2 is beginning as Building on a site will occur in the near future as we continue to look for funding sources.
Our hearts are full as we look back on yesterday’s fundraiser for Proactive Living Facility! The town of Ronan and beyond helped us raise $7,200.00 with another $500.00 coming through silent auction pickups! Thank you to all the helpers, Terrace Lake Community Church, the numerous people and organizations that donated, and the hundreds of people that came to support our cause. Jeremiah 29:11 is our organizations verse, and God made it evident his plans for us in the last three months!
